We targeted radio stations (and their DJs) that would reach classic movie buffs of all ages for this one-of-a-kind 8-disc anthology. Listeners called in to answer Spaghetti Western movie trivia. The promo was a big hit in the week leading into Father’s Day.

We broke through the usual Black Friday clutter by recruiting popular on-air personalities to host live singing auditions for their listeners to win DVD sets. We also secured several interviews with Idol  host, Paula Abdul, who emphasized ‘all the very special extras’ included in the 3-disc set and pitched its appeal as the season’s ‘perfect stocking stuffer.’ We were the only agency providing broadcast media, helping to market over 120,000 units in the first four days.

Our client wanted to promote several seemingly unrelated titles as one gift-pack without emphasizing or ignoring any one title. To accomplish this, we worked with DJs who were fans of the films and got them to mention the title and some details about each DVD.  We executed the only broadcast media campaign for these catalog titles, each one experienced a spike in sales.
